I designed two different versions of this two-piece 6" x 1-3/4" moderator specifically for airguns that feature 1/2-20 threaded barrels, as well as a slip-on designed for .4375 (Crosman 2240 and Discovery) barrels. This assembly uses three #6 x 1/2" flathead screws with thread-forming capabilities, while the inner section should be wrapped tightly with layers of felt to ensure proper fitment. To secure the slip-on to the barrel, I recommend using 10-24 set screws. It's also essential to run taps through the 1/2-20 or 10-24 threaded holes before assembly to prevent any potential issues.
