The aircraft model closely approximates the actual dimensions of an Airbus A350, a long-range twin-engine wide-body jet airliner carrying up to 280 passengers with a range of 8,210 nautical miles. Developed in response to competition from Boeing's 777 and 767-300, as well as customer feedback on previous Airbus designs, this particular model represents an earlier version now known as the A350-XWB or Extra Wide Body. The model includes retractable landing gear, animatable control surfaces, turbines and is available in multiple formats for use in animation, rendering, and static display purposes.
