As the largest of Airbus' wide-body medium to long-range aircraft, it can carry up to 335 passengers over 7250 miles. Developed in the mid-1970s alongside the A340, the A330-300 had its maiden flight in 1991 and began commercial operations in 1994. Powered by either General Electric CF6, Rolls Royce Trent 700, or Pratt and Whitney PW4000 engines, it was set to be replaced by updated aircraft with new engines and avionics in 2014. Out of the 1452 ordered, 1287 have been delivered, and 1263 remain in service.
