The Airbus A220, originally the Bombardier CSeries, is a commercial airliner designed by Canadian aircraft manufacturer Bombardier Aerospace and entering service on July 15, 2016. The series consists of two models: the 110-seat CS100 and the 135-seat CS300. Bombardier's initial goal was to expand its regional CRJ jet line to larger aircraft with over 100 seats in order to compete with Boeing and Airbus smaller models.
