The Airbus A220, formerly known as the Bombardier CS300, represents a family of narrow-body, twin-engine medium-range midsize passenger airliners. Initially developed by Bombardier through the test flight stage, the program was later acquired by Airbus when they purchased the majority share of the CS project from Bombardier. The aircraft, which can accommodate 108 to 133 passengers, was initially designated as the CS100 and has since been rebranded as the Airbus A220-100. Similarly, its counterpart with a seating capacity of 130-160 passengers, the CS300, has been renamed Airbus A220-300.
