Airbus A220-100 - Modern Jet Airplane - 1:144
myminifactory
This is the first model I designed, it is less detailed and has fewer features then my other models (https://cults3d.com/en/users/CLERX/creations) but is still very accurate and easy to print. If you like this model please consider having a look at my other models. Model features: - Windows, flaps, ailerons, elevators, fan blades and the rudder are all modelled.- Completely snap-fit, no glue required.- Universal stand mount shared between all my models.- Length: 25 cm (9,8"), width: 24,5 cm (9,8")Some information about this aircraft: The Airbus A220 (also known as the Bombardier C Series) represents the fusion of performance and technology, allowing airlines to connect distant points on continents or sectors that were previously unprofitable or impossible. With broad seats, plenty of overhead storage space and large windows, it’s a single-aisle aircraft that feels like a wide-body jet. The A220’s advanced aerodynamics combined with specifically-designed Pratt & Whitney PurePower PW1500G geared turbofan engines contribute to an aircraft that delivers 20% lower fuel burn per seat than previous generation aircraft, half the noise footprint, and decreased emissions, making it a true community-minded jetliner. Print SettingsThe basic print settings are: Layer height: 0.2mm (can be lowered to your preference)Infill: 0% (except for the stand)Wall line count: 2Nozzle width: 0.4mmNo supports and no bed adhesion should be required. Please read the print guide for more detailed print settings per part. Print Guide EnginesSimply print the Fan-Blades.stl file twice, separately to avoid excessive retractions while printing the blades. A layer height of 0.2mm will give the best result for the turbine blades. Print the Engine-Left and Engine-Right.stl. FuselageMake sure your bed is correctly levelled to minimize the seam between the two fuselage sections. Wings & StabilizersMake sure these parts are rotated 45° on your build-plate to minimize stepping. Printing these parts with a wall line count of 1 will give them a smoother surface, but will also make the parts more fragile. Pin & StandAdjust the scale of these parts as necessary to minimize the seam between the fuselage sections. Use 20% infill for the stand. AssemblyBefore you start assembling you need to cut the support material from the fan blades. To get the fan blades out of their support, start by cutting the 4 connecting rods on the bottom and then cut underneath the blades until the support comes off. Start by attaching the horizontal and vertical stabilizers to the aft fuselage section. Insert the pin in one of the fuselage sections and connect the sections together. Connect the wings to the fuselage. Insert the fan bladesin the nacelles and attach them to the wings. Finally, place the model on the stand.
