The Airbus A380 is a powerful double-deck airliner made by Airbus that's the world’s biggest passenger jet, and airports around the globe have built new facilities to handle its massive size. Initially called the Airbus A3XX, this aircraft was designed to take on Boeing in the huge-aircraft market. The A380 took off for the first time on April 27, 2005, and started flying commercial routes in October 2007 with Singapore Airlines. The A380's upper deck runs along its entire body, making it as wide as a big-body plane. This gives the A380-800 its cabin an incredible 478 square meters of usable space, which is 40% more than the next biggest jet, the Boeing 747-8, and can fit 525 people in a standard three-class setup or up to 853 passengers in all-economy seating. The A380-800 has a range of 15,700 kilometers that lets it fly nonstop from Dubai to Los Angeles, and cruises at Mach 0.85 (around 900 km/h) at cruising altitude. I really love the A380 so much, I hope you like it too!
