Airblade X Canopy
thingiverse
The AirbladeX X-Racer 130 is an exceptional 130 class FPV quad, boasting impressive features and capabilities. Unfortunately, the canopy section seemed too bulky for my liking, prompting me to seek out something lighter, simpler, and more straightforward. I currently own two AirBlade X quads, which I've detailed in a separate article on tenfpv.com - http://tenfpv.com/blog/?page_id=168. Moving forward, the canopy provides minimal protection, leaving the cameras relatively exposed. Notably, despite this vulnerability, neither of my cameras has suffered any damage yet. The antenna is mounted at the rear, positioned behind a standoff for added stability. To further enhance camera protection, I print with TPU, allowing it to bend and absorb shocks effectively. Two versions of the AirbladeX X-Racer 130 are available: one equipped with an XAT520 camera at a 20-degree angle, and another featuring a RunCam Owl version at a 35-degree angle. Additional options may be released in the future. When using the RunCam Owl, it's essential to remove the lens, place the camera within the canopy, and then reattach the lens while adjusting its position. Print Settings: - Printer: Prusa i3 Clone - Rafts: Not Required - Supports: Not Necessary - Resolution: 0.1mm - Infill: 25% - Notes: Printed with TPU, using supports to achieve a smooth "ring" that securely holds the camera in place.
