I needed a custom solution to mount my Windshield Wireless Qi Phone Charger securely to my Car's Air-vents, as all pre-made options lacked sufficient strength or failed to fit my car's unique style. To address this problem, I designed and 3D printed my own mount, which turned out to be incredibly strong, sturdy, and robust, making it a breeze to use. My Original Windshield mount featured a press-fit design with a 17 mm ball on the end, but it consistently slipped out of its slot while in use. This caused my phone to crash down unexpectedly while driving, which was completely unacceptable. Furthermore, since I drive a black car in the South, the phone often overheated and paused wireless charging if the air conditioning hadn't been running long enough, making it extremely frustrating. I decided to modify my Air-Vent Mount design by adding a ~30mm extension and a 17mm Ball on the end to accommodate the original wireless charger. Now, my phone securely fastens directly to the air-vent, staying nice and cool while avoiding any chance of falling off. This solution was a game-changer for me.
