The initial 3D model was designed in Sketchup 8 before being converted to various other 3D formats. Its native format is .skp, while it's rendered using 3ds Max 2016 and Vray 3.00. AirbusA330 and AirplaneNerd777 collaborated on the model. Air Vanuatu, Vanuatu's national flag carrier, operates flights to Australia, New Zealand, and points in the South Pacific from its main base at Bauerfield International Airport, Port Vila. Established in 1981 post-independence, Ansett Airlines provided aircraft and staff under a five-year agreement with a 40% stake, while the Vanuatu government owned 60%. The first flight took off on September 5, 1981, operated by Ansett's DC-9-31. As of November 2014, the Air Vanuatu fleet consists of two ATR-72-500s, one Boeing 737-800, and three Harbin Y-12s; a recent hotfix addressed issues on the right side of the aircraft.
