Air Valve
thingiverse
This part is intended to be used as a ventilator valve, still in development and not yet ready for use, seeking assistance from individuals to help test and improve the valve. When using ventilators to treat COVID-19 patients, any parts that come into contact with the patient must undergo thorough sanitization before being switched to another patient. The unique advantage of this valve is that it allows the air hose to pass through the mechanism without directly exposing it to the air the patient is breathing. As a non-medical professional, I believe this design could enable the valve to be more easily reused when transferring from one patient to another. Required Hardware: - NIMA 17 Stepper Motor - M3 Nuts and Bolts - Silicone Tube: 1/2" ID, 3/4" OD Assembly Instructions can be found here: https://civilpedia.org/p/?pid=348&h=Air+Valve+V2 Currently working on another version with an end stop for more reliable valve action.
