The turbocharger on a car employs a similar fundamental principle as a standard piston engine. It harnesses exhaust gas energy to drive a turbine in motion. This spinning action powers an air compressor that forcefully injects additional air (and oxygen) into the cylinders, enabling them to burn more fuel each second with increased efficiency.
