Air Supply - Respirator
cults3d
This is an air-supply respirator I designed, engineered to provide filtered air directly to the 3M Versaflo faceshield-assembly. It's versatile enough to work with multiple types of respirators. The Milwaukee M12 Battery powers it efficiently. I've been wanting a Versaflo system for wood-turning projects for years now, but at $1200 to $1600, it was simply too expensive. I considered the TREND AIR/PRO Airshield, but I wasn't keen on the proprietary batteries and those pricey $60 filters. The Airshield itself costs $400. My air-supply respirator is a more affordable option, coming in at about $55 for parts plus printing supplies. The 3M Versaflo Face-Shield Assembly and hose set me back around $250. Overall, this system works out to be about $90 less than the Airshield. For those not familiar with woodworking, the TREND AIR/PRO Airshield is a comprehensive dust control system that's self-contained.
