To accommodate the larger diameter of the 1077 barrel, the inner diameter of the barrel section has also been enlarged. A deliberate design choice was made to slightly over-size the diameter, allowing for a seamless friction fit by shimming the inside with strips of tape. This thoughtful approach ensures a smooth operation and prevents potential wear on the end of the barrel when printed in PLA plastic.
