Air Raid Siren - modified stronger version
thingiverse
I built the air raid siren version 2 and encountered some issues during assembly, so I made modifications to make the siren more robust. To print this model, you need a slicer that can handle multiple models at once with different infill settings. I used Simplify3D. To assemble this project, you will require the following metric bearings: 1 x 47/25/12 - SKF 6005-2Z 4 x 16/5/5 - SKF 625-2Z Print Settings: Printer Brand: PowerSpec Printer: PowerSpec 3D Pro Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 20% Notes: Print all parts at 0.2mm and 20% infill, with the exceptions noted below: print SirHa_Gehause1 or the split version SirHa_Gehause1handle / SirHa_Gehause1klein SirHa_Gehause2 should be printed without supports print SirHa_Gehause3 or the split version for dual extrusion SirHa_GetrRad1 has been broken into 3 parts: hub, spokes, and teeth. Print the hub and teeth solid at 100% infill, and the spokes at 20% SirHa_GetrRad2A and SirHa_GetrRad3 have been combined into SirHa_GetrRad23, then split into hub, spokes, and teeth. Print the hub and teeth solid at 100% infill, and the spokes at 20% SirHa_GetrRad2B should be printed solid SirHa_GetrRad4A and SirHa_GetrRad4B both need to be printed solid print SirHa_Kurbel1_spaced or the split version SirHa_Kurbel1 / SirHa_Kurbel1_spacer. The spacer keeps the handle tight against the bearing and keeps the first gear and handle in alignment much better. SirHa_Kurbel2 should be printed with thread layers and a little into the handle solid print SirHa_Rotor1_blades and SirHa_Rotor1_spindle together, with blades at 20% infill and spindle solid print SirHa_Rotor3 at 0.1mm layer height Print 3x SirHa_Schraube1 and 6x SirHa_Schraube2. I printed mine solid and a little undersized (95% scale) the spacer for Kurbel1 makes a huge difference for SirHa_Schraube3. Print it on its side with supports, and solid. This makes the screw a lot stronger in the rotational axis, which is required when using the spacer.
