Air Raid Siren - hand crank version 3.1 (fit on the printer differently)
thingiverse
My main printer is a Prusa i3 and I found its bed size wasn't big enough to handle the original design. I had pretty good luck with the 80% build by MlePh (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3410556), but I wanted to scale up in size. When I tried to run the model by Kaetzy (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3648309), it was tough to glue together where his design separated, and overall I wasn't happy with how the end-product turned out. I loaded the original files into MeshMixer, made a change so that the pieces would break apart at a spot with more surface area, and added some supports between them. The new design seems pretty stable now. My printer tolerances were a bit off on this image, you'll see a gap, but that was mainly because of old filament rather than the core design change.
