<h2>Just a sensible solution to fix the embarrassing Creality's take on the filtration system for the LD Series.</h2> <h2>The new version here (v2) makes the enclosure more compact; I also added a grill on the top, which you can print or not, it's not essential but makes the enclosure nicer, in my opinion.</h2> <h2>There is no real performance improvement over v1, I just like this smaller v2 one more. Also it uses less material.</h2> <h2> I aimed to primarily keep the vapours (smell) contained inside the chamber and then to capture them with an active filtration system. So I shut the hole at the bottom with a base piece and made this filter so that recirculates the air inside the chamber. Simply undo the stock fan and using the same 4x M3 long screws place the fan inside the fan enclosure and tight it down, squeeze the wire of the fan in the little cut out close to the gantry. The fan will pull the air through the Active Carbon filters, to do that just cut to size one or more Activated Carbon Filters pads (~ 4cm x 4cm) and then (optional) add some Activated Carbon pellets on top. I use 2/3 pads and change them frequently (every 2 weeks at most). For less than £10 I purchased a bag of 8 12x12 cm pads, that cut down to 4x4 cm gives me plenty of spares for relatively cheap.
