Air Pump
thingiverse
This is a compact air pump engineered to force air into 3/8 ID rubber tubing. Designing your own adapter is easily feasible if your needs demand something alternative. The motor utilized for this project is a Turnigy 1400kv brushless out runner motor, commonly employed in quadcopters and requiring a speed controller to operate. It might be somewhat excessive for this application, so feel free to modify it to accommodate a different motor. A STEP file has been included for this purpose. To get my model running, I purchased an economical esc, lipo battery, and servo tester from Hobby King. If you're into quadcopters, you likely have all the necessary components and possess more knowledge about them than I do, so use your discretion. However, here's a list of the items I acquired: Motor, Servo Tester (this one was somewhat glitchy, so consider getting an alternative), ESC (the motor calls for a 40 amp esc, but this one is only 30 amps, so choose whatever you prefer), and Lipo Battery (any type will do). You'll also need 19 of 4-40 x 3/8 machine screws. Video.
