I printed this up when my under-gravel aquarium filter kept getting clogged. I made it modular, so the bottom parts can go directly under the gravel. If you want more suction, just add another air tube for each repeat of the under-filter sections - it seems to be working really well. To monitor if the filter needs a clean, simply add some filter material in the middle tube. You'll easily see when it's time for maintenance. You will need to shave off the chimney edge to get a tight fit when inserting it. I found this to be a reliable method. Use the separate air hose file; the ones in the other file tend to break.
