Air-Only Boot Dryer
thingiverse
This is a housing for a 40mm x 40mm x 10mm fan that was built to use as a backcountry boot dryer. The fans used draw only about 1.5W (5V DC, ~0.3A combined) with a USB power connection. The intent is to be able to run off of battery banks when power is not available to help dry limited moisture in boots. There is no heater and the small fans have limited CFM airflow. The fan wires were spliced together into 1 connection to the USB plug. The fans are mounted by the 4 locating pins on the printed parts, with the wire fed through a hole printed into the parts. The drawing for the particular fan used is attached with the part files. The fan was 6800 RPM, 7.5 CFM.
