AIR NOZZLE FOR ENDER 6
thingiverse
Hello everyone, I've created an air nozzle that provides direct ventilation to almost the entire print bed. You have the option to attach a 140mm fan without the need for an adapter (though I cannot confirm whether the cooling is sufficient since I haven't tested it), or you can install a 230V 150mm fan, which I recommend based on my testing without a fan at the print nozzle. Here's what you'll need:At least 2kg of printing material.8x M4x20 screws.12x M5x8 screws (more may be needed depending on finger protection).SEPA KA1725HA2BMT Fan - [Link: https://www.amazon.co.uk/SEPA-KA1725HA2BMT-Axialfan-230-51mm/dp/B071777QG3]EBM PAPST LZ36 Fan Finger Guard - [Link: https://www.amazon.com/PAPST-LZ36-Finger-Guard-pieces/dp/B00LQP1BII]I leave the wiring up to you, and I assume no liability.Installation:First, you'll need to drill holes according to the measurements in the picture. For this, you'll require a 4.5mm drill bit and a 135mm hole saw. Alternatively, you can mark the 135mm circle and drill along the lines with the 4.5mm drill bit, eliminating the need for a hole saw. After you have drilled the holes, turn on your printer and home all axes. Then, move the Z-axis to 0mm. Next, attach the fan to the adapter using the M5 screws. After that, attach the adapter with the pre-mounted fan to the side walls using the M4 screws, but do not tighten the screws just yet. With the print bed at 0mm position, position the nozzle at bed level as shown in the picture, and then tighten it. AND DON'T FORGET THE FINGER GUARD; IT'S REALLY IMPORTANT WHEN USING SUCH FANS. OTHERWISE, IT'S BETTER TO AVOID IT!The sample images were printed at 60mm/s, including the overhangs! In the future, when I have a volcano nozzle, I will also conduct tests for faster printing. Here are some other Ender 6 modifications from me: [Link: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5398406] [Link: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6289240]
