The human circulator, also known as an Air Circulating Unit or ACU for short, is a piece of equipment designed to control and circulate the air as part of a climate management system.[1] The air handler is typically a large metallic case containing an airflow blower, heating or cooling components, air filtration racks or compartments, sound reducing absorbers, and damper systems.[2] These units are usually linked to a ducted ventilation system that disperses the conditioned air throughout the building and sends it back to the ACU. In some cases, the ACUs discharge (supply) and take in (return) the air directly to and from the serviced area without ducting.
