Rewrap enclosure air filters can be easily replaced with an upgraded version designed to combat the smell of burning plastic in unheated shops. To reduce this issue, I added an air filter based on MBCook's design, which was inspired by zgbot's idea. The filter utilizes car cabin air filters, which are available at car parts stores and designed for filtering out exhaust fumes. By adding a fan, these filters can extract printer fumes effectively. In my upgrade, I built a case with a square opening for the filter, supported by glued wooden strips inside. The walls of the box have varying heights to create a lip for a plywood lid and extraction fan placement. The fan draws air out of the case and through the filter, ensuring quiet operation by leaving enough space around it. If you carefully cut the square opening, no additional sealing is required.
