Design For Mk8 Extruder Support. This custom-designed fan shroud is specifically made for Geeetech Prusa I3x 3D printers, taking into account their original extruder supports. You might need to cut or grind the end of your extruder support in certain situations to get it perfectly aligned with your black acrylic frame. In general, this new design aims to significantly enhance the overall quality, especially during bridging procedures. Printers that don't have support structures in place will print easily without any complications. For added convenience, there are 2 supports available in the model file - just remove them after printing. However, using a support structure might make removal difficult once it's printed. Important updates and revisions have been made over time: May 1st, 2016: Minor tweaks for easier printing. January 14th, 2016: Miscellaneous notes added. March 27th, 2017: Height changed to 50mm as requested by Tamadite. June 29th, 2017: Modified to a 42mm height, satisfying skeg_man's request. For your convenience, here are some key print settings: Printer Model: Geeetch Prusa I3 X - Rafts: None required - Supports: Opt for printing without them for the best results. - Resolution: 0.2 resolution for crisp details - Infill Density: 20% recommended for robust prints Remember these additional guidelines for optimal print quality: To avoid vibrations, it's recommended to glue the shroud directly onto the extruder using hot glue. Make sure to rotate the design by 90 degrees for a smooth printing experience in horizontal mode. During the printing process, don't hesitate to remove the integrated small supports included within the .stl file.
