A complete overhaul of https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1243891 has been done to fit the Geetech Aluminum Prusa i3 and its default MK8 extruder perfectly. It generates a gentle breeze on the extruder, rather than a strong wind, as the standard radial fan lacks sufficient pressure to make a significant impact. However, the airflow is present and I'm now achieving success in printing thin profiles in ABS that would otherwise be piles of molten plastic. I suggest printing the first layer without it to improve adhesion, then installing it after the first few layers before printing the thinner sections. It can be installed or removed while the print is running or paused, requiring no screws (just slide it between the wires and over the fan and heat sink). Alternatively, you can leave it in place and unplug the fan temporarily to turn it off, then plug it back in afterwards (don't forget this! or your Z-stepper will get very hot). This is my preferred method for small objects.
