Air-Exhaust Deflector Makita RT0700C

This is an air-exhaust shield for the Makita RT0700c trim router, a highly sought-after spindle for kit and DIY CNC machines. One significant problem with this router is that cooling air escapes from the bottom, blowing cutting dust everywhere in its wake. Furthermore, the exhaust defeats the dust collection shoe-boot I have, causing dust to be blown out of the bottom of the shoe. I produced this shield by printing it in two parts, which I then glued together. You may be able to determine how to combine the parts and print as a single piece. The ring that clamps onto the router is only 6mm wide, leaving just enough room between the bottom of the spindle holder and the bottom of the router for it to hold securely in place. If you require more clearance, simply extend the top and reposition the holes accordingly. I obtained the router measurements from a CAD model of the RT0700 found on GrabCAD at https://grabcad.com/library/makita-rt0700-1. The shield was printed in PLA on a Tronxy P802E.
