For my junior design assignment, I crafted an engine inspired by Elmer's steam engine. Upon completion and assembly, it was connected to a dyno for testing. At 50 psig inlet air pressure, the crankshaft rotated at 1,140 rpm, producing 5.187 W of electricity. To study its top-end performance, an additional test was conducted with no load applied, resulting in a spin speed of up to 2,400 rpm.
