Air Deflector for Geeetech MK8 Extruder

Air Deflector for Geeetech MK8 Extruder

When printing with your Prusa i3 Pro X, beware of the extruder fan's air flow blowing directly into your eyes. It happened to me once and nearly caused an eye infection. To avoid this issue, I created a simple air deflector that redirects the airflow from the extruder straight up, preventing it from hitting you in the face. The design ensures that the airflow flows smoothly through the deflector without causing any significant pressure drop or turbulence. The inlet and outlet of the deflector have the same surface area, which means there should be minimal impact on the flow rate. Printer Settings: Printer: Geeetech Prusa i3 Pro X Rafts: No Supports: No Infill: 5% rectangular Notes: This design has no infill and no supports. The bridge can be printed without any support material. You're free to adjust the resolution as desired, but I've chosen a moderate setting of 5% rectangular infill for this model. To print successfully, ensure that the biggest flat surface of the object is facing downwards on the printer bed.
