An essential part of an air conditioner that transfers heat between two media, usually between indoor and outdoor spaces, is the heat exchanger. The evaporator coil and the condenser coil are the two main types of heat exchangers found in air conditioning systems.1.Evaporator Coil: The air conditioner's interior unit houses this coil. It makes it easier for refrigerant to evaporate, which cools the inside air by absorbing heat from it. The refrigerant within the evaporator coil absorbs heat from the warm air coming from the interior, causing the air to evaporate into a low-pressure gas.2.Condenser Coil: The air conditioner's external unit houses the condenser coil. Its main purpose is to discharge the heat that the evaporator coil's refrigerant has absorbed. After exiting the evaporator coil, the high-pressure refrigerant gas condenses back into a liquid condition in the condenser coil, discharging heat into the surrounding air. The refrigerant therefore cools down and is prepared to start the cooling cycle over.
