My dad's front yard is going to be a temporary lake, filled with up to four inches of water whenever there's heavy rain. I've been telling him for years that it would be awesome to run an RC boat on the floodwaters, and this Father's Day I decided to make one he'll love. To avoid any propeller problems, I chose an airboat design, which can handle debris and weeds with ease and even slide smoothly across the grass from his front door to the temporary lake. To build it, you'll need: Micro servo 5-inch propeller (I used a 5045x3) Motor (a 2204-2300 multi-rotor motor works great) ESC (I used a 20-amp multi-rotor ESC with BLHeli capabilities) Your choice of receiver RC car body pins 3mm screws Battery (I chose a 3s 1300mah battery) Glue for plastic components
