Air Blower

Air blower uses a powerful 132cfm biscuit fan to direct a high-volume air stream. This is an ongoing project that will require additional details on the wiring of the PWM board to control speed. A speed controller is not necessary for this project, as it can be powered directly from a DC power adapter if you're using a two or three wire fan. However, if you want to vary the speed of your fan, a 4 wire fan will allow you to attach the fourth wire to an inexpensive PWM controller. Using a 4 wire fan requires you to control its speed by adjusting the pulse width modulation (PWM) signal, similar to how an RC servo operates. The frequency of the PWM signal does not affect the fan's speed. The prototype currently uses a full-size potentiometer and knob for convenience. To achieve this, you'll need to remove the tiny potentiometer from the circuit board and connect it to the larger unit using three wires: +12V, ground, and signal output. The potentiometer on the prototype also has a switch in series with the 12 volt supply, allowing you to completely turn off the circuit if needed.
