I received a roll of TPU for Christmas, which inspired me to create my own set of Air Dusters after seeing Biolooks Air Duster. As someone who's really into photography, I know that a fine tip duster will be great for Camera and Lens cleaning. In this design, I've included several key features: 1. An integral thread on both Bellows and cap provides a strong, relatively airtight seal. 2. The bellows are sculpted to make them easier to squeeze, with some ribs added to maintain their shape. 3. The design is all-in-one, making it simple to print and assemble. 4. Two types of interchangeable caps are provided for fine and general use. 5. Two sizes of bellows are included to accommodate different needs. 6. The bellows are printed with two different wall thicknesses - 1.6mm & 1.2mm - depending on the print capability and required stiffness. Print Settings: 1. No supports were needed during printing. 2. Bellows were printed with 2 perimeters at 0.2& 0.3 resolution, while maintaining a speed of 40mms. The slicer was set to include no infill for most of the part but an 80% infill for the top of the bellows and thread area. 3. I used Sunlu White TPU 1.75mm for printing. Although this filament prints well, it has a tendency to stick to itself, causing problems with extruding the TPU. To overcome this issue, I found that unwinding and rewinding the filament a little more loosely helps. 4. Caps were printed at 0.2 resolution with 20%-30% infill. During testing, I discovered that the 1.6 mm bellows @ 0.2 resolution print much better than the 1.2 thick versions, creating a greater force when compressed although stronger hands are required. The 1.2 versions printed okay but struggled with print quality on overhangs and angled elements. The TPU on all prototype prints worked as designed. I printed the bellows prototypes on a Wahhau Duplicator i3 Plus due to its direct drive printer, while printing the caps on a Creality CR10S.
