This fits snugly over the standard Chinese diode lasers encased in their 48mm square housings, such as the 10 or 15w models. The fixed focal length of around 18mm is ideal for this setup. By incorporating air assistance, cutting precision has been significantly improved, with less burning on the edges. I've found that using approximately 20psi works remarkably well. For the hose, I employed surgical tubing, which proved to be an effective choice. In the images showcasing cut leather, it would have been beneficial to secure the edges with tape to prevent curling and subsequent changes in focal length; however, the difference between air-assisted and unassisted cutting is strikingly apparent. The nozzle is effortlessly removable and reattachable, simply fitting over the bottom of the housing and secured by an elastic band. This is a basic prototype, but it appears to be doing its job adequately. It's essential to note that this setup is specifically designed for fixed focus lasers and not those with adjustable lenses. Fortunately, the nozzle doesn't obstruct airflow from the top fan, ensuring uninterrupted operation despite the aluminum heat sink. The hose can be routed across to the back along with the wires; I simply haven't implemented this yet.
