air assist for lasersaur
thingiverse
The ongoing project involves designing an air assist for the Lasersaur, with exhaust vents located at the cutting table's lower front area. The purpose of this design is to minimize dust and fume accumulation on the laser tube and first 90-degree mirror by sucking air out from the Lasersaur in a direction away from the laser source. A video demonstrating its functionality can be found here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/allartburns/6338285065/. However, instructions for assembly are yet to be provided as this is still a work in progress. For those using a Cupcake 3D printer with MK7 stepstruder, printing the manifold without support has proven successful, but ensure that the four legs are positioned upward. Upon examining the STL file, you'll notice a hollow box structure supported by three columns connecting the top and bottom parts.
With this file you will be able to print air assist for lasersaur with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on air assist for lasersaur.
