Air Assist for Laser Cutter
thingiverse
Hi! I've been using my Chinese laser cutter for over a year now, and every time I cut through plywood, I'd end up with rough edges that gave off some pretty nasty fumes. It was always a hassle to get those parts just right - I spent way too much time sanding them down. So I decided it was time to start shopping around for a new supplier who might have better air assist systems in place. That's when I stumbled upon Epilog, and their setup really caught my eye. I figured I'd give it a shot, so I set out to recreate the system myself using a smaller nozzle (1mm this time) that would blast some serious air directly onto the cutting area. For the hose itself, I opted for an FESTO 6-straight quick connector - it seemed like just what I needed. And let me tell you, the results were nothing short of dramatic! My parts are now cleaner than ever before, and I couldn't be happier with this setup. If you're looking for a way to take your clean part game to the next level... well, have fun! Here are my print settings: * Printer Brand: Ultimaker * Printer Model: Ultimaker Original * Rafts: Yes * Supports: No * Resolution: 0.1mm * Infill: 100%
