This is an Air Flow Enhancer. Compressed air flows through the inlet into a ring-shaped chamber. It is then accelerated through a cylindrical nozzle at high speed. The airstream adheres to the Coanda curve which directs flow to the outlet. Low pressure area is created at the center creating a high volume flow of air into the primary airstream. The combination of primary and surrounding air exhausts create high volume and high velocity flow. Print Settings Printer: QIDI Tech Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: .2 Infill: 10% Notes: Small pic is needed to remove support in the ring-shaped chamber. I had no problems adding supports and removing them. How I Designed This I modeled the enhancer from a design from Exair.com. Project: Air Flow Enhancer Project Name: Air Flow Enhancer Overview & Background: Air Flow Enhancers are used for blow off or vacuum applications. A Coanda curve is used to direct the airflow to the outlet creating a suction on one end and high volume and high velocity air flow at the other end. Objectives: Students will learn about the Coanda curve, CFM, ring-shaped chambers, velocity air flow, and volume of air flow. Audiences: High school to college students Subjects: Math Science Physics Skills: Pneumatics Lesson/Activity: 1 Lesson on Pneumatics: 2 Parametric CAD software: 3 3D printer: 4 Compressed Air: 5 Pneumatic measuring instruments: Duration: 2-8 weeks Preparation: Lesson in Pneumatics: References: Brian S.
