I have an AIO spool that weighs 0.5kg and holds a substantial amount of filament. The spool holder built into my printer is a sturdy rod that can accommodate larger spools like the one I'm using now. My printer came with Monoprice brand filament, which has a relatively large inner spindle radius. This setup may work for other printers as well, but I haven't tried it yet.
