Aillio Bullet Coffee Roaster Bean Guard
thingiverse
The Aillio Bullet is a great roaster with a small design flaw: Ejecting the beans after roasting results in beans spewing away from the cooling pan. Most end up in the pan but an annoying number of them end up everywhere else. I designed and printed a couple of brackets that slide over the cooling tray. These brackets have slots that accept aluminum or other metal sheets that cause errant beans to bounce off them and into the cooling pan. More determined beans may still effect an escape but it's pretty rare with these in place. The beans are very hot when they leave the roaster (easily 400f/204c or more). I printed mine in PETG and have had no heat-related issues with them. I suggest avoiding PLA and opt for PETG, nylon or ABS for heat resistance. I've been using this pair for about three years. They're holding up just fine after many kilos of beans bouncing off them.
