Aileron
grabcad
Ailerons, derived from French meaning 'little wing', are hinged flight control surfaces typically found on the backside of each aircraft wing. They function as a pair to manage roll, which refers to the movement along an airplane's longitudinal axis, often causing a shift in direction due to the tilt of the lift force. This kind of motion is termed 'banking' or 'rolling'.
