AIDC F-CK-1A Ching-Kuo Also known as IDF (Indigenous Defense Fighter), this multirole aircraft was designed and produced by Taiwan, entering service in 1997 with a fleet of 130 exemplars. The project began when the Taiwanese Ministry of National Defense decided to replace their old interceptor fleet with a new, more reliable line of fighters. Initially, they chose the F-20 Tigershark and the F-16, but due to diplomatic pressure from China, the US refused to sell these fighters to Taiwan. However, the United States maintained some level of assistance to Taiwan through technology transfer, allowing the project to move forward with support from American companies such as General Dynamics and General Electric. Model 1:100 scale printed test at 1:285 with a 0.2mm nozzle (still sliceable with a 0.4mm nozzle and 1:300 scale) and 0.08 mm layers. Printed on an Ender3, as shown in the image taken from PrusaSlicer 2.0. I chose the two-part version to preserve most of the tail and nose details. With some sandpaper work, the glued joint becomes almost invisible once painted. Regards, Erik
