Aibo ERS-11x NP-F550 battery extension

This is an extension for the common Sony NP-F550 camera battery that will enable you to fit it inside a Sony Aibo 11x robot dog. Since the original batteries for ERS-11x are no longer available (and the NP-F550 can be bought easily) this is an easy way to get yourself a replacement battery. You will have a fully functional dog using this. The only thing that is not functioning is the low battery warning and graceful shut down. So you should set an alarm when running the dog so that you will be able to turn off the dog yourself before the battery is completely drained. With Patona 2000mAh battery that I am using the expected runtime is around 1 hour. So if you set your timer to about 45 minutes you should be on the safe side for running your dog. For charging you will need to place the dog on the station with the battery inside. It looks like this doesn't work properly in the sub compartment. Alternatively you can also get a cheap USB charger for these batteries.
