This is a modification to the stock hotend enclosure on the Anycubic i3 Mega. This replaces the cooling fan with 2 very small 12 volt 3010 blower fans which actually get to 9000 rpm.

The link for the fans are: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B075R2CJH8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Then I replaced the hotend cooling fan with the Noctua NF-A4x20, link here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B072JK9GX6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Print all 4 parts (outside face facing down), no support required. Once the prints are done, I used M3x6x5 heat sunk embedded nut in the holes that align with the stock screw holes on each side piece (1 lower rear each side and 1 top front each side). Then 2 M3x12 screws and nuts for each 3010 fan with the cooling duct on the outside of the fan, see pics. The A4x20 fan gets attached with small zip ties in the 4 corners of the fan to the 4 slots in the printed sides.

Print Settings

Printer Brand:

Anycubic

Printer:

All-metal Mega

Rafts:

No

Supports:

No

Resolution:

0.2

Infill:

20%

Filament: Overture PLA or PETG Red and Matte Black How I Designed This ===================

AutoCAD

I designed this using AutoCAD 2022 3D.

Category: 3D Printer Accessories
