Ahsoka Tano's Lightsabers Modified
thingiverse
I Had an amazing time crafting the incredible Ahsoka lightsabers designed by CaseStudyno8 (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1121939) and I'm excited to share the modified parts I created if anyone else can use them. This is barely different from the original since its tiny details no one would notice anyways, mostly just for the red button on the off hand. Changes from the original are: -Added a red button to the off-hand saber. Red button and outer ring are same for both sabers. -Separated the charging ports to inserts so they could be easily printed/painted to be black and silver. Port insert is same for both sabers. -Added groove details to the outside of the inner chambers (not shown in photos, added later). -Off-hand pommel is now the same size as the main pommel. -Pommels both use a connector piece for support-free printing of adjoining parts.Connector is same for both. -Middle chamber is now solid. -Removed cone shape from bottom of middle lower chamber for clean print. -Switched the lower buttons so the smaller one has the screw insert and the large one doesn't. The small button and insert are same for both sabers. -Changed the off-hand saber's lower large button to the same style as the main hilt -Enlarged the upper button and outer. -Changed the on/off button's pattern. -Split the tabs into 2 parts trying for a cleaner print. -Off-hand outer chamber modified to fit buttons. Unchanged are all of the emitter parts and main hand outer chamber but all included for convenience. All parts should open in the orientation I printed them in. I think one button needs to be rotated. Use supports for small buttons and red buttons. Sorry can't remember if I used supports on any other parts maybe pommels. To get the two-tone colors on the lower buttons I used the color change feature in my slicer. Basically pause and swap filaments. Custom display stand included. Update 8/15/20 fixed the middle lower chamber file that would have the bottom hole covered up in Cura. Also added a fixed tag/placard and it lets you print the 'star wars' part of the clone wars logo now.
