Ahmed body

The Ahmed body, employed as a simplistic car model for aerodynamic CFD analysis, has two configurations with slant angles of 25° and 35°. Detailed LDA measurements were conducted by Becker, Lienhart, and Stoots [2,3] in the LSTM low-speed wind tunnel with a cross-section of 1.87x1.4 m² (width x height) at a bulk velocity of 40 m/s. The test section was 3/4 open, featuring only a ground plate at a distance of 50 mm from the body. In Ahmed's experiment [1], the flow velocity was recorded as 60 m/s, resulting in a Reynolds number of 4.29 million based on model length.
