AgroSpike is a novel concept that involves using consumer-grade drones, such as the DJI Phantom 2/3, for surveying and mapping purposes. The primary goal is to capture multi-spectrum, stereo images of fields or forests which can be processed offsite. Once the photogrammetric map is created, the drone can be tasked with deploying additional sensors for UV radiation, soil pH and humidity, as well as pest markers. An alternative solution could involve setting up pest traps or repellents.
