The part, utilized in gangs with towed equipment, helps break up soil post-plowing and prior to harrowing or seeding. Featuring a bronze bushing that includes one thrust face, this component also has spacers between each disk within a gang. The gangs are usually not perpendicular to the implement's draw on an axle, which is angled 10 degrees forward for optimal soil-twisting when the disk cuts through it.
