The O-Ring gripper, designed specifically for picking and placing O-Rings on components, features a 6-Finger Gripper with two independently operated pistons. The double-acting spreading jaws and single-acting ejecting jaws ensure precise control. When the first piston is pressurized, six parallel jaws spread the o-ring evenly; adjustments can be made using a set screw. Next, air supplied to the second piston pushes the ejector jaws forward, expelling the o-ring onto the part being assembled. The unique hexagonal stretching of the O-ring minimizes deformation. Customizable for various ring types, this gripper's smallest accommodated diameter depends on tooling jaw size, while the largest is approximately four inches, contingent upon cross-section. Both spreading and ejecting jaws offer end-of-stroke sensing. Measuring 2.5 inches in diameter and 2.7 inches tall, the gripper provides 65 lbs of stretching force at 80 psi.
