Ancient Greek-Sicilian city founded on the northern coast of Sicily, between Palermo and Messina, in 403 BC by Arconide of Herbita. It came under Roman rule during the First Punic War in 263 BC and obtained a privileged status while maintaining autonomy until the Augustan period when it acquired Roman citizenship. I conducted these photogrammetric survey works as part of a French mission led by V. Michel from the University of Poitiers and M. Costanzi from the University of Amiens. During my three trips to Sicily (2016, 2018, and 2019), I introduced students from the Universities of Amiens, Poitiers, and the Louvre School to applied photogrammetry in archaeology through theoretical and practical courses on the three sectors of the mission: the agora (2016), the acropolis (https://skfb.ly/6Oq9R), and the theater (https://skfb.ly/6OzoE).
