Agisis Face Hugger (simplified)
thingiverse
This is a meticulously crafted version of Agisis's model face hugger, carefully assembled from its component parts. I found that splicing the individual sections together resulted in a far more manageable and cohesive print. Print settings: Layer height - 0.12 mm, wall thickness - 4 layers at 1.6 mm, infill density - 40%, rafts with a 5 mm margin, supports with an overhang angle of 75 degrees. Post-print processing: Remove supports and rafts, use a knife to carefully trim away excess material, utilize an exacto or surgical knife for precise cuts, and employ a gas torch to smooth out imperfections by gently heating the plastic surface (remember that plastic is a poor conductor of heat, allowing it to cool between areas). Build: Apply gentle pressure and wiggle the sections together until they lock into place. The only loose joint I encountered was the rear body to tail section, which I secured using print material and a gas torch. Paint: Apply a coat of plastic primer or filler primer, followed by your chosen colors for the final finish.
