Age of Empires 2 Keep Guard Watchtower

I'm surprised every keep model from Age of Empires 2 is hexagonal for some reason, don't you think it should be modeled as an octagon like it actually is? I tried modeling one in Blender, dividing it into eighth parts and using the array modifier to make it symmetrical. The lion texture found online was used. After printing at a height of 90mm with a layer thickness of 0.24mm, the result looks fantastic. No supports were required.
